Chal Rickshaw! — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-15

Chal Rickshaw! is a single-player arcade game from Maximum Impact Studio. This policy explains what data the game and the services it uses collect, and how that data is handled.

TL;DR

Data we collect and why

Game account & wallet (our backend)

The game creates an anonymous player account (a random ID) to store your in-game wallet: kamai (in-game ₹), items, round progress, purchase entitlements (like Remove Ads), and a record of real-money purchases (store transaction IDs — never payment details). This keeps your balance safe across devices and reinstalls and lets refunds be reversed correctly.

If you make real-money purchases, we ask you to link an email address. We store that email and use it solely for sign-in (a one-time code is emailed to you) and to attach your purchases to a durable account. We don’t send marketing email. Our backend is hosted on Supabase infrastructure (region: Mumbai, India); all traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play)

All payments are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive only the store’s transaction identifiers and purchase state, which we verify directly with Apple/Google servers before crediting your wallet. If a purchase is refunded, the corresponding in-game credit or entitlement is removed. Kamai (in-game ₹) is a virtual in-game currency with no real-world value — it cannot be cashed out, transferred, or redeemed for real money.

Analytics (GameAnalytics)

We collect anonymous gameplay events (rounds played, session activity, in-game economy events, ad views) tied to a random install identifier generated by the app — not your advertising ID and not your identity. This helps us balance the game and fix problems. GameAnalytics processes this on our behalf under its privacy policy.

Analytics starts only after the same consent flow as ads resolves: where a consent form is required (EEA/UK), gameplay events are held on the device until you have answered it and are never sent on a timeout or error. We process these anonymous, aggregated events on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and balanced; they carry a random app identifier, never your advertising ID. If you’d like analytics tied to your install identifier deleted, contact us.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads (watch an ad to double your fare — always your choice). The ad SDK may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, coarse region, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. Where required (e.g. the EEA/UK), the game shows a consent form before ads are served, and ads are not loaded until consent is resolved. We do not use Apple’s cross-app tracking (no ATT prompt is shown; we don’t track you across other companies’ apps).

Buying Remove Ads permanently disables forced ads; rewarded ads remain available but only ever play when you tap them.

See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites/apps that use its services.

Diagnostics & logs

The game keeps a small diagnostic log on your device only. It is sent to us only if you explicitly share it (e.g. via the in-app share option when reporting a problem). Crash reports may reach us in aggregate through Apple (App Store/TestFlight) or Google Play if you have opted into sharing them with those platforms — under their policies, not ours.

What we do NOT collect

Your choices & rights

Data retention & security

Wallet and purchase records are kept while your account exists; after a deletion request or refund, purchase records are retained only as required for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention (typically up to 8 years under applicable law) and then removed. Analytics data is retained per GameAnalytics’ retention policy and only ever used by us in aggregate. All transmission uses encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections; purchase verification is performed server-to-server with Apple and Google.

Children’s privacy

Chal Rickshaw! is not directed at children under 13. Because the game serves ads and offers in-app purchases, it is intended for a general (teen and older) audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

App store platforms

If you installed the app through Google Play or the Apple App Store/TestFlight, those platforms collect their own diagnostic and installation data under their policies — see Google Play’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes (for example, a new category of data collection) will be reflected here before the corresponding app update ships.
